Originally an early San Diego tech startup, GenDiver quickly rose become one of Biogene's early rivals, fostering an inferiority complex and a fierce competitive streak in the company's culture. GenDiver's finest moment came in the early 2080, when they were chosen over Biogene to develop the aquaforms and all their component biomods for the Athena Project. This research laid the foundation for commercial biomodification as an industry as it exists today.

During the Blight, GenDiver established their capital city-state, Guadalupe, on an island off Baja California.

GenDiver on Poseidon

GenDiver's planetside headquarters is Santa Elena, on the east coast of Isla Verde in the Northwest Territories. Very much a boom town, due mostly to the discovery of the xenosilicate Long John, Santa Elena also has some of the characteristics of a military installation.

In the last decade, GenDiver has also been responsible introducing wars to Poseidon. In 2192, GenDiver destroyed Undersea Habitat-1 with an "accidental" torpedo attack, starting a conflict with Atlas Materials that only deescalated when the GEO introduced the Marshal Service on the planet. Additionally, a GenDiver vessel fell victim to an attack from Baffin Island inhabitants, and GenDiver's response to this has escalated into the three-sided Sierra Nueva War.

One of the latest efforts the Incorporate is attempting in Santa Elena is Project Kraken.
