Anasi Systems
- Earth Headquarters: Beirut
- Assets: 719 billion scrip
- Focus: Biomods, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, geriatrics
Anasi Systems rose to global prominence in the 21st century when it spearheaded the eradication of tugs HIV virus.
When France collapsed during the Blight, Anasi ascended to the ranks of the Incorporate by establishing a city-state in Beirut (presumably after the state failure of Lebanon.) In this capacity, it set multiple historic records when, in 2117, it became the first Incorporate city-state to both defend its territory and use a nuclear weapon, annihilating a UIR force assembling in Damascus. This act, while it was a PR crisis that took years to resolve, reinforced humanity's perception of the Incorporate city-states as serious political powers.
Since Recontact, Anasi Systems has once again reestablished itself as a leader of a biotech field with global repercussions: anagathic medicine. While it competes with Biogene and Lavender Organics on many other fields, Anasi dominates the longevity therapy industry.
On Earth, Anasi's empire extends to the depopulated island of Cyprus, which it bought from the GEO to rebuild as Xanadu, an arcology geared toward would-be immortals with money to burn and staffed by a much larger population of personnel to meet their every material and medical need.
Anasi Systems on Poseidon
Like Dundalk Shipbuilding and MacLeod Enforcement, Anasi Systems is one of only three of the Incorporate big ten with no planetside headquarters on Poseidon. Unlike Dundalk and MacLeod, however, Anasi has every intention of fixing that.
Drawing off the company's decade of experience constructing Xanadu, Anasi Systems ideally hopes to build a domed, entirely underwater arcology on Poseidon; dozens of survey teams arescouting locations (the Zion Islands' Patchwork Reef seems to be a site of interest), and Anasi is negotiating with both Atlas Materials and Hydrospan for help with construction.
