Home is a small island of rock, jungle and swamp, situated in the northern reaches of El Mar Del Sur.
The island is approximately 7km x 3km, with a mainly rocky coastline of cliffs, glass coral reefs and one, long sandy beach. The interior of the island is mostly dense jungle, with one area of swamp.
Home's fauna is varied. A large population of stick monkeys inhabit the jungle. A pair of marsh devils also lived on the island, but one of the pair was killed while attacking livestock in the native village. It is not known how these creatures came to the island, as previously, the species has only been encountered in the Sierra Nueva Cluster.
The native settlement dates back to the Abandonment and is home to some 200 souls, subsisting through a mixture of arable and livestock farming and fishing.
The scientific station on Home is inhabited by eight scientists and ten security and ancillary personnel.
