The United Nations was founded in 1945 and have had its defining moments as well as its crisis. The biggest test, and even something that might lead to the organisations demise, was the creation of the UNGEO in 2093 as an response to the Blight. The future existence of the UN is tightly coupled with GEO and the Incorporate States. Much of the power of the UN has been transferred to GEO and the UN has been marginalised in the world of 2199.
