Cochise Station
Cochise Station, or Biogene R&D Field Station 194 as it is more formally known, is a research outpost that harbours three people; one mechanic and two scientists. The purpose of the station is to make an inventory of the flora and fauna in the area and the hope of the superiors are that knowledge that is gathered might be used in the invention of new medicines for the many diseases present on Poseidon. The station is named after the Apache chieftain Cochise and that is about as funny as it gets with this lot.
Location and overview
The research station located on the east side of the Apache island and consists of a couple of buildings; a lab, living quarters, garage for the two jumpcraft, storage and recreational facilities and supportive functions (water purification, power plant etc.). It is located about twenty meters into the forest to protect it from the weather but the reef protects it from both predators and larger waves.
People
The research station is populated by three people:
- Sarah Nabiyev, mechanic
- Mohammad Farrakhan, scientist, Chun-hsian's husband
- Chun-hsiang Lok-Farrakhan, scientist, Mohammad's wife
Ms Miller is of asian decent and borned and raised in Haven but is very much of a loner and it generelly suits her fine that the two others leaves her alone most of the time.
The scientist couple is an odd pair, Mohammad very short (1.63 m) 34 year old man of African decent, black as coal, while his wife is a very long (1.89 m), Chinese woman with a very fair skin, soon to turn 49. Both wears their hair in dreadlocks with a lot of small colorful shells and feathers braided in. To name the research station after an Apache chieftain is about as funny either of them ever will get, neither of them has never mentally left the labs of HIST and both acts like if HIST just was on the other side of the island. Introvert is probably just the beginning of an description. Scentific skill and social skills are seldom acquired at the same time and neither seems aware of that they have their office in paradise.
