Independence

Located on the southern shore of New Corazon, Independence ("Marley" in earlier editions of Blue Planet) is a native community, and a hotbed of separatism in the Zion Islands.

Independence was founded in 2174, after internal disputes within the New Gaia Collective led to a split in Harmony's native population over how to handle the growing newcomer presence in the region. Its founders were and are NGC loyalists; Independence is one of the few places in the Zion Islands where newcomers are actively unwelcome, and enforces this policy with well-guarded walls.
