Poseidon kelp (Gramen spp.), invariably called kelp unless being compared with Earth's, is a thick, leafy vine that uses buoyant gases to support a stalk up to 250 meters long.

A notable variant of Poseidon kelp are strangler kelps, which use long fronds to shift their gas distribution and trap prey in rigid fronds before digesting them like carniflora.
